We have left our ship at 9 am and took taxi to our hotel. We relaxed for couple of hours, doing some catching up with paperwork, checking in for our flight tomorrow to Iguazu falls. We are staying in a quaint boutique hotel, narrow and high, very simple but welcoming. The location is fantastic , just facing the square in San Thelmo where the market takes place, tango dancers perform and street opera bellied out. My favorite arias. We might regret this choice of a hotel as it is Saturday night and people eat at 11pm and party all night! And we have to get up at 4:45 am! But this neighborhood is wonderful, small streets with colourful houses with window shutters and old doors. Lots of artists selling their art, of course we bought few things. Then we took a taxi back to La Boca that we wanted to explore more. And back to hotel where nearby we found an indoor market with food court. So we had a take out, sat on our balcony overlooking the square and listened to the arias. Still buzzing at 9:15 pm, our bedtime...For those interested: We covered1793 nautical miles with our ship. The longest from Porto Belo, Brazil, to Rio Grande, 454 nautical miles. We had a great times and we were extremely spoiled and pampered. And loved every minute of it. So long.
