Colonial city of Montevideo from 1680. Again interesting city, many highrises and some old buildings left, some in disrepair. After a drive through city we drove inland to visit Juanico winery, the largest in Uruguay. We tested one white Chardonnay, then 3red wines, from light to heavy, my favorite was desert wine at the end. Our lunch there was superb as is the case with many wineries... We had a tango show after lunch and some people, including me, were selected to try itango out. I have to say the dancer was a great leader and I did not even trip! Very enjoyable trip even though Cat and I crashed into our beds by 9 pm, our usual time...!. We only attended one evening show because it stared at 9:30 pm, too late for us. But it was a show with an excellent velintroquist, who could also song duets, beside all those funny jokes aimed at the retired audience. So lots of fun.
